The government’s decision to audit enterprises that have been deemed critical has effectively suspended conscription deferments to reservists. This problem has acquired a systemic nature and “hung up” in the relevant bodies.
“The suspension of bookings came as a shock to the legal part of the economy, as everything happened unexpectedly and without any clear communication with the business. Businesses are extremely concerned about the current state of affairs, in particular the lack of official communication from the authorities. Currently, the business does not understand how the booking procedure and how to plan further operational activities. In addition to the destructive impact on business within the country, this situation creates negative signals for our international partners, investors and customers,” – stated in European Business Associations.
For their part, business representatives interviewed by the publication have proposals that will help the economy avoid collapse.
“Among the proposals of the business is the restoration of reservation at the level of ministries, which will allow to avoid the negative impact of the designation of enterprises of critical importance through OVA, increase the reservation quota, and introduce automatic reservation for 3 months for employees who are hired. In addition, the business proposes to strengthen mobilization primarily at the expense of the illegal sector of the economy, and not to see workers working in industry as the only resource, the Federation of Employers of Ukraine believes,” the article says.
We will remind: after the government’s decision on October 8 regarding the audit of decisions on recognizing enterprises as critically important for the economy, the reservation process was practically paralyzed, which caused protests from many business associations. Later, the government, by its protocol decision, allowed rebooking of employees who had this status until May 31. Currently, companies are waiting for the relevant regulatory acts, which should finally start the rebooking process.
