Polish President Andrzej Duda awarded Chief of GUR MO Ukraine Kiril Budanov is one of the highest state awards for foreigners. Lieutenant General was awarded the Golden Officer Cross of the Order of Merit for Poland, the Ministry of Defense press service reports.
Budanov received his award for “outstanding contribution to the development of international cooperation and interaction, which connects the Republic of Poland with other states and peoples”
In addition, Duda was awarded the Deputy Chief of the GUR of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Major General Vadim Skibitsky. He received the Cavalry Cross of the Order of Merit to Poland.

The honors were presented to the Ukrainian intelligence officers by the Deputy Chairman of the Intelligence Agency of the Republic of Poland, Colonel Dominik Duda.

The Order of Merit to Poland is one of the highest awards of the Republic of Poland. It is received by foreigners who have made a significant contribution to the development of international cooperation and the development of relations with the Polish state.
At one time, such honors were awarded 40th US President Ronald Reagan, US Secretary of State Henry Kissinger, UN Secretary General Antonio Gutherrish and NATO Secretary General Anders Fog Rasmussen.
