At the time of writing, everything is functioning stably. The company explained the situation as a problem on the part of one of the providers. At the same time, the error did not affect popular services that use the OpenAI API, such as Perplexity and Apple Intelligence.
A similar situation was observed on the night of December 11-12 — the startup’s AI tools were not available for several hours.
Meanwhile, the British newspaper The Guardian found out that the new search engine ChatGPT search can mislead people.
The search engine is designed to speed up the search for information on the Internet, for example, by providing a short summary of product reviews on the website of an online store. The publication found that ChatGPT search can be forced to ignore negative reviews and show only positive ones by inserting hidden text into created websites.
The same approach will enable the search engine to display malicious code.
As a reminder, in November, a crypto user with the nickname r_ocky.eth lost $2,500 through ChatGPT, who recommended a fraudulent site while writing a bot for the Pump.fun meme token platform on Solana.
