Brodsky turned to Zelensky / photo UNIANIn his column on Oboz.ua, Ukrainian businessman Mykhailo Brodsky appealed to the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyi, with a request to pay attention to the repressive and “entrepreneurial” activities of the security forces.He expressed his belief that with their activities they can compete with the so-called eagles of Kravchenko, who “worked” in an extralegal field under the cover of the Minister of Internal Affairs during the presidency of Leonid Kuchma.
“I compare with Kravchenko and Kuchma for a reason, because for the first time the authorities brought my business to bankruptcy with the light hand of these “do-gooders”: in this way, they tried to take away from me the most popular publication at the time, “Kyivskie Vedomosti”, which I was the publisher of. Humiliating the role of the courier of their messages was performed by the then Secretary of the National Security Council Volodymyr Horbulin, he told in detail what would happen to me if I did not hand over the publication…” – shared the businessman.
Brodsky added that the head of the SBU at the time, Volodymyr Radchenko, told him several times that he did not understand how he remained alive. “I was saved by the people of Kyiv, who elected me as a deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of the 3rd convocation, and I entered the parliament hall straight from the Zhytomyr pre-trial detention center. Then there were no paid cells, thug conditions, there were not even mattresses. But I persevered, having understood the most important thing: principles should be defended, even at a high level price,” the businessman recalled.
He noted that after all this, he hoped that the arbitrariness of the security forces was already in the past, and all these “attacks were “washed away” by the first and second Maidans, the patriotism of the large-scale invasion.” But in reality it is not so.
“It’s about the sand market. I’ll start with the public part: the infamous TG-channel “Joker”, moderated by the lover of “Maybachs” and enhanced security Roman Kravets, known by the nickname “Prishch”, voiced threats to me and my family because of what I allegedly ordered program “Schemes” on Radio Svoboda. He is, according to “Joker”, “our favorite governor and the most honest prosecutor”. First of all, he is not familiar with this person and never crossed paths. Secondly, please tell me how it is possible to order a plot from “Schemes”? They only have one customer, the people of Ukraine,” explained Brodsky.
“Now about the non-public part: what is happening on the sand market and why am I here. Some time ago, a certain Serhiy Shapran, a member of the Brovary City Council, appeared on the horizon… Shapran set his sights on the Unigran group of companies with a total value of over $100 million, which came under NSDC sanctions. But as a result of fairly simple manipulations, the state loses these assets, and deputy Shapran becomes their owner,” Brodskyi shared.
He expressed hope that the competent authorities will be able to figure out and give a legal assessment of how during the war, when people contribute donations and taxes for protection, “a business of $100 million flows to an enterprising person.” But, as Brodsky noted, Shapran’s appetites were not satiated by this, and he sought to seize control of the entire sand market.
“He threatened me, other entrepreneurs, and he didn’t do it lightly: the employees of my companies, as well as the companies of other businessmen, are under a lot of suspicion. We understand what is happening: the business is being pushed in the direction of making the “correct” decision,” the businessman said.
Brodskyi noted that a video of Shapran meeting with employees of the Prosecutor’s Office of the Podilsky district came into his possession by accident.
In the set, Shapran goes to “Joker”, who tries to discredit Brodsky, writing about illegal sand mining, illegal construction, etc. . “I’m suing him, and we’ll see if he can confirm his claims… and if he’ll be so brave,” Brodsky said.
