The head of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Kirill Budanov at the request of journalists commented on his words that the existence of Ukraine may be under threat, unless negotiations with Russia. Instead of justification, the GUR chairman told the anecdote. About it reports the project “Iceland”, which received a comment by Budanov.
– I will tell you the anecdote. Two grandmothers are sitting near the yard, and says to each other, “Look, went, and her daughter has a slurry.” Another Grandma says, “She has a son.” – “Well, let everyone tell you that it is wrong.” This is my answer, – Budanov said.
So Budanov responded to recent media publications, which reported, citing an unnamed source, that during a closed meeting of parliamentarians and representatives of defense forces, the head of GUR Kirill Kirill Budanov allegedly suggested the threat of Ukraine’s existence, if there were no negotiations in the summer. The GUR was denied.
- On January 27, intelligence stated that Kirill Budanov’s quote widespread in the media about the threat of Ukraine’s existence is not true. The GUR also drew attention to the fact that the quote attributed to their leader was closed with the stamp “Secret”, a meeting of parliament.
- In addition, MP Alexei Goncharenko said: “Budanov said that” if nothing change, then the front may pour and there will be problems. ” There was no phrase that there were threats to the existence of Ukraine.
