The box office success of the movie “Avatar: Fire and Ash” (Avatar: Fire and Ash) has officially exceeded 1 billion dollars in the worldwide release, informs The Hollywood Reporter, informs UNN.

Details The third installment from director James Cameron reached that amount on Saturday, thanks to the New Year’s collection. Other holiday season favorites include the unexpected bestseller The Housemaid with Sidney Sweeney and Marty Supreme with Timothée Chalamet.

Avatar 3’s global gross as of New Year’s Day (Thursday) was $935 million, including $266 million in the United States and $699 million overseas. On Friday, the film earned an additional $14 million in North America from 3,832 theaters, ending the day with a US total of $280 million. With those numbers, it’s projected to lead the weekend with $36 million to $38 million, breaking the $300 million mark in North America in addition to the billion mark.

And as of Saturday, it’s one of the few Hollywood films released in 2025 to cross the $1 billion mark, following Disney’s Lilo & Stitch ($1.038 billion) and the record-breaking Zootopia 2, which has grossed $1.51 billion since its Thanksgiving release.

This is Cameron’s fourth film to cross the billion-dollar mark, following Titanic, Avatar and Avatar: The Way of Water.
