I am no longer a dot eth

Perhaps some day those in leadership roles will realign with the community but for now, I am out

Deep down, I truly hope Ethereum succeeds

Good luck

“I’m not .eth anymore. Maybe someday those in leadership positions will come together with the community, but for now I’m leaving. Deep down, I sincerely hope that Ethereum succeeds. Good luck,” wrote a programmer who worked in the ecosystem for 11 years.

According to Conner, he will focus on projects at the intersection of cryptocurrencies and artificial intelligence. To begin with, he will join the team behind the development of the “sovereign” AI agent Freysa.

His post appeared after Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin’s statement that all decisions regarding changes in EF management are made by him alone.

“The person defining the new EF management team is me. One of the goals of the current reform is to create a “proper Council” in the organization, but until that happens, it will be me,” Buterin stressed.

On January 18, he announced “significant changes” in the fund’s management amid growing criticism of the organization’s activities. Buterin also described entire structures that largely coincided with the expressed wishes.

Part of the community has decided that it is about the resignation of the current EF CEO Aya Miyaguchi – the popular idea is to replace her with ex-Ethereum researcher Danny Ryan.

Buterin cited their calls for continued pressure to change leadership and also mentioned Conner’s support for Ryan’s candidacy. On January 15, the programmer wrote that otherwise “the time of the uprising will come.”

“If you keep the pressure on, you’re creating an environment that’s actively toxic for top talent. Some of the best Ethereum developers have recently written to me about their distaste for the social media atmosphere created by the likes of you. You make my job difficult. And you only reduce the chance that I will have any interest in doing what you want,” Buterin said.

In December, the developer from the ConsenSys team, Max Resnik, announced his departure from the Ethereum ecosystem to Solana-project Anza. He referred to disappointment with the development vector of the second largest cryptocurrency.

It will be recalled that in September, the founder of Cardano, Charles Hoskinson, called Ethereum “Buterin’s dictatorship”.
