On December 26, at 11:50 a.m., the rescue service received a report that a chair lift had stopped working on Mount Zakhar Berkut in the village of Volosyanka, in the Stryi district of the Lviv region. There are people on it. The State Emergency Service was informed about this.

– According to information at 1:04 p.m., 42 people (including 22 children) were evacuated from the chair lift by mountain rescue teams. Actions to remove vacationers from the chair lift are ongoing, rescuers reported.

The State Emergency Service also added that a total of approximately 80 people are on the lift. 42 rescuers and 7 units of special equipment were involved in the operation. The cause of the incident has not been established at this time.
