This was stated by President Volodymyr Zelenskyi, talking about the Ukrainian position, which has already been transferred to the United States. He announced this during a conversation with journalists on Saturday.
“The most difficult questions were and remain. The first is the territory of Ukraine. The second is the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant, our ZANEP. The third is money for reconstruction,” Zelensky emphasized.
The President clarified that in addition to these points, there are a number of technical and security issues that also require clear solutions. “There are still a few technical points – these are security guarantees, the monitoring format, control over the implementation of agreements. If we talk about the 20-point plan, the question is not even about the points of intersection, but about the fact that as of now, at this hour, we have transferred our vision to the United States of America,” he explained.
According to Zelenskyi, the US should further discuss these positions with the Russian side, after which Ukraine expects a response. “They will communicate with Russia, and we are waiting for an answer,” the president noted.
Separately, Zelenskyi focused on the restoration of Ukraine and security guarantees. He said that Kyiv has already submitted its proposals to its partners regarding documents related to post-war reconstruction and long-term stability.
“In terms of other documents, recovery — as well as security guarantees, our vision has also been conveyed. The United States of America said what they are ready for,” Zelensky said.
According to him, the negotiations will continue at the working level in the near future. “Now there will be communication of our group with the American side in Florida,” the president added.
He emphasized that Ukraine insists on real, not formal solutions, and does not consider compromises that could endanger the security of the state in the future.
Also, the USA is proposing negotiations between Ukraine and the Russian Federation in Florida — to which Zelensky replied.
