The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, stated that Ukraine is actively cooperating with the United States on security guarantees and reconstruction. The country’s leader emphasized the importance of preparing documents for future legal approval in the US Congress and the Ukrainian Parliament.
“We now have very productive work with the US president and his team. We have discussed the details of all this. He informed about the situation with the Russian strikes, about the need for air defense. They talked about how additional pressure on Russia can ensure strong diplomatic results,” Zelenskyi said.
He emphasized that the main thing now is for the US to have as many “tools for the right pressure” as possible. “We continue to prepare documents with America regarding security guarantees and restoration. We are really working so that in the near future formats of signing and approval, legal approval in the Congress of the United States, in the Ukrainian Parliament are possible,” the president added.
Zelenskyi noted that Rustem Umyerov, Secretary of the National Security Council, was present at the report on these issues today. “It is necessary that the topic of Ukraine in relations with America remains at the top level, despite all the informational and political challenges that exist today,” he emphasized.
