He thanked the current leaders for their work and noted the readiness of the new candidates to take responsibility for the regions and serve the state and communities.
Appointments are expected in Vinnytsia, Dnipropetrovsk, Poltava, Ternopil and Chernivtsi regions in the near future. The names of the new leaders will be known after the completion of the formal procedures.
Zelenskyy emphasized the strengthening of local self-government, the resilience of communities and the ability of regions to protect life and provide assistance to residents, stressing that all regions and communities of Ukraine should act side by side in protecting the country.
The former head of the State Border Service, Serhiy Deineko, has been appointed an adviser to the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, Ihor Klymenko. After a short period of rehabilitation, he will also head the combat unit of the State Border Service.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyi is considering possibility the dismissal of Vasyl Malyuk from the position of head of the Security Service of Ukraine, followed by his appointment to another strategic, but less important position.
