The head of state noted that the Stavka reported on contracts – those that are already being executed and those that are planned.
“This is a joint task of weapons manufacturers, our government officials and everyone involved – to make this year a record year for drones of all types, as well as to significantly increase the production of Ukrainian missiles, artillery, and all necessary equipment,” the president emphasized.
Volodymyr Zelenskyi instructed to increase the number of orders for drones, and this task is already being carried out. At the same time, the president emphasized that Ukrainian arsenals, as well as the accuracy of soldiers, are one of the guarantees of independence.
“I thank all the units that carry out strikes on the territory of Russia: on military facilities, on military logistics of the occupier. There should be more and more such important results,” the head of state added.
Earlier, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said that Ukraine has significantly increased the production of weapons. Currently, there are projects for the production of anti-tank weapons.
The state budget for 2025 foresees record funds – 2.23 trillion UAH – for the production and purchase of weapons.
And recently, the Department of Innovation of the Armed Forces together with the Ministry of Strategy and Industry and the Fund for the Development of Innovations launched the site of the “Iron Range” project. It should help weapons manufacturers conduct testing, in particular at test sites.
