The Ukrainian delegation headed by Volodymyr Zelenskyi will hold repeated negotiations with the leaders of European countries immediately after the meeting with Donald Trump.
As the president reported in his Telegram channel, this step is necessary for the coordination of joint efforts and dissemination of the achievements obtained during the dialogue in Florida. Before leaving for the USA, the Ukrainian side already held an extended online meeting with the heads of the EU, NATO and Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney, during which the priorities of the diplomatic track and key points of the peace plan were agreed upon.
The main goal of the upcoming round of consultations with the Europeans will be the synchronization of positions on security guarantees, which are critically important for Ukraine, along with the issue of ending the war. Zelensky emphasized that the world has enough resources to ensure lasting peace and not allow Putin to avoid responsibility through manipulation. Strengthening positions both on the battlefield and at the negotiating table remains the main task of the delegation, which included Defense Minister Rustem Umyerov, Commander of the Ground Forces Oleksandr Hnatov and other high-ranking officials.
The next stage of the diplomatic marathon should take place on December 29, 2025, when the results of the conversation with Trump will be analyzed in detail together with French President Emmanuel Macron, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz and other allies. Such multi-level coordination is designed to demonstrate the unity of the Western world and provide Ukraine with the most favorable conditions within the peace process. The head of state thanked the partners for their support and emphasized that many strategic decisions can be made before the new year.
