On Tuesday, April 15, the Head of State met with entrepreneurs of Odessa region, which represent the areas of mechanical engineering, instrumentation, pharmaceuticals, food and winemaking.
The main issues discussed were the protection of the region’s protection against continuous Russian attacks, as well as the further functioning of the maritime corridor.
During the dialogue, Zelensky stated that active work was continuing to strengthen the air defense system in the Odessa region. He also stressed that changes in the work of the sea corridor are not planned.
“There are only conversations about the ceasefire: in the sea, in the sky and on the ground. If we talk about a complete ceasefire, then everywhere.
At the same time, he said, in parallel, work is being done to create effective safety mechanisms in the event of a ceasefire. In particular, the possibility of deployment of a contingent in Ukraine, which will act as a guarantor of security, is considered.
“Odesa, of course, comes here, because we are talking about the placement of forces on the sea, in the air, on the earth. On the sea, of course – first of all on the Black Sea, it means the whole Odessa region, the Nikolaev region, etc. That is, when we talk about safety at sea, we discuss it.”
Also during the meeting discussed the main difficulties that business faces: the issue of access to financial resources, logistics, export support, implementation of the initiative “made in Ukraine”, as well as the development of communication within the platform “Dialogue of government with business”.
Special emphasis was placed on the expansion of economic support programs and involvement of international partners in the process of repairing damaged industrial equipment.
The President has instructed the Cabinet of Ministers to work out the possibility of organizing a meeting with international partners in the format of “Industrial Ramstin”, which is planned to discuss support in the restoration of key enterprises that have been destroyed through Russian attacks.
As it was reported, during a meeting with entrepreneurs Zelensky also announced the strengthening of the protection of the sky over Odessa and the region.
On April 11, the Contact Group on Defense of Ukraine announced the provision of military assistance to Kyiv in the amount of more than 21 billion euros ($ 23.85 billion).
Earlier, we wrote that Europeans will make sure that Ukraine has a strong army, because it will provide peace on the continent, so Russia should not hope for the cessation of support of Kiev.
Also we will remind that Germany has recently handed over 30 missiles for Patriot to Ukraine and prepares further air defense systems, armored vehicles, drones and other necessary equipment.
