In 2021-2023, Kravchenko managed the Buchan District Prosecutor’s Office, where he was investigating the war crimes committed by the Russians in Bucha.

His career is also related to the military prosecutor’s office – he worked in the time of Anatoly Matios, and in 2014–2015 he participated in the anti -terrorist operation, has the status of a participant in the fighting.

Kravchenko is known for being a prosecutor in a high -profile cause of treason Viktor Yanukovych. In addition, he was filed for the position of head of the Specialized Anti -Corruption Prosecutor’s Office, and participated in the competition for the post of NABU Director.

After Andrei Kostin’s resignation in October 2024, the post of Attorney General remained vacant for more than half a year. First Deputy Alexei Khomenko performed the duties of the head of the Attorney General’s office.

According to sources, Kravchenko is considered a compromise figure that can receive support of parliament. His candidacy is supported in the management of the Presidential Office, including the deputy head of OP Oleg Tatarov.

In the past, Kravchenko has raised questions about the real estate, savings and political background of his relatives, in particular during the interview as director of NABU.
