“The President nominated Mykhailo Fedorov for the post of Minister of Defense of Ukraine,” the parliamentarian informed, publishing a photo of the relevant document.
According to Zheleznyak, a meeting of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security, Defense and Intelligence will be held next. After that, the issue of Fedorov’s appointment will be put to a vote in the session hall.
“And then (the last issue) is voting in the hall today,” the deputy clarified.
According to the correspondent of Ukrinform, Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Ruslan Stefanchuk announced a break in the plenary session for one hour. During this time, all the necessary procedures for voting on the appointment of new heads of ministries should be completed, in particular, a conciliation council and meetings of specialized committees should be completed.

In addition to rotations in the Cabinet of Ministers, the president announced other key personnel decisions this evening. From now on, the Office of the President of Ukraine is headed by Kyrylo Budanov, who until that moment was in charge of military intelligence. Oleg Ivashchenko, former head of the Foreign Intelligence Service, has been appointed to the position of head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications.
