President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has submitted a bill No. 0332 to the Verkhovna Rada on ratification of a historical agreement with the United Kingdom.

The United Kingdom and Ukraine have signed a 100-year partnership agreement in January this year. The document will help to build strong links between the two countries in the entire range of relations: from trade, security and defense, to science and technology, education, culture, etc.
The agreement was signed by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and the Prime Minister of Britain Kir Starmer.
“The relations of Ukraine and the United Kingdom are more close to. We went to a new level, that’s more than strategic relationships. We have signed a 100-year partnership agreement, ”Zelensky said.
The document aims to strengthen military cooperation between countries in maritime security by creating a new structure to strengthen security in the Baltic, Black and Azov seas and counteract Russian aggression. It is envisaged to unite experts for the development of scientific and technological partnership in the fields of health, agro-technologies, space, drones, as well as the implementation of educational projects to strengthen friendship between countries.
In addition, the British check system will be introduced to track the illegally exported grain from the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine. The document also confirms the role of Great Britain as a key partner of Ukraine in energy, production of critical resources and production of “green” steel.
“From working together on the world stage to overcoming barriers to trade and growth and development of cultural ties, the United Kingdom and Ukraine will act for one another for renewal, restructuring and reforms for future generations,” the Britain’s government said.
The British department also emphasized that a 100-year partnership is an “important step in supporting Ukraine’s long-term security”, guaranteeing that “it will never be vulnerable to the cruelty that the Russian Federation has caused.” The agreement obliges Britain to stand side by side with a sovereign Ukraine for the next century.
Ukraine’s accession to NATO is the most reliable guarantee.
The parties also agreed to develop key areas whose importance goes beyond the current war, recognizing Ukraine’s role in strengthening Euro -Atlantic security, Having focused on increasing the operational compatibility and contribution of Ukraine as a future NATO member.
The reconstruction of Ukraine is critical for further progress, and working together will allow both countries to lead in important sectors, promoting common values. At the same time, Ukraine undertakes to continue to strengthen the fight against corruption in the public and private sectors in accordance with the agreements reached.
The parties have agreed on:

Increasing cooperation in the field of energy, climate and transition to pure energy.

Counteracting foreign information manipulation and intervention.

Strengthening positions as leaders in the field of science, technology and innovation.

Using the potential of socio -cultural ties.

Migration cooperation.
Where there are conditions for well -managed and safe mobility, the parties will take gradual steps to facilitate the travel of citizens and visit each other, as well as start regular contacts and exchange information about migration results and political intentions. Countries can conclude additional agreements or arrangements that are necessary and appropriate to execute this Agreement.
The agreement shall enter into force on the date of receipt by the parties to the last notification of the performance of their internal procedures necessary for its entry into force.
The agreement will remain valid for 100 years unless either of the parties terminate its validity. Changes are also possible, and any disputes over the interpretation or application of this Agreement will be resolved by consultation between the parties and cannot be submitted to any national or international tribunal, court or third party.
Recall that the UK Prime Minister, Kir Starmer, has confirmed the achievement of a new agreement with the European Union, which, he said, opens a new era in relations between London and Brussels. The agreement aims to stimulate economic growth, save jobs and increase citizens’ income.
