The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyi, signed the law on the establishment of guardianship over the property of missing persons.
Artur Dobroserdov, the commissioner for issues of missing persons under special circumstances, informed about this in Telegram.
“Today, the President of Ukraine signed Law No. 4174-IX “On Amendments to Certain Legislative Acts of Ukraine Regarding Certain Issues of Disclosure of Bank Secrecy and Measures to Establish Guardianship of the Property of a Natural Person Recognized as Missing or a Person Missing in Special Circumstances”. – noted Dobroserdov.
The law stipulates that notaries will be able to carry out an inventory of the property of a person who is recognized as missing or missing under special circumstances. They will also be able to appoint a guardian over such property.
In this way, family members of a missing person will be able to legally take care of the property of a person who has disappeared under special circumstances, until his return.
In addition, notaries will have access to the Unified Register of Persons Disappeared Under Special Circumstances, explained Dobroserdov.
Today, January 8, the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyi, also signed Law No. 4173-IX. In this way, consideration of court cases in Ukraine will be simplified and accelerated.
