Zelensky signed the law on a 90-day leave for military personnel released from captivity

The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, signed a law that guarantees servicemen released from captivity the right to a 90-day vacation with full financial support. This is reported in a document on the website of the Verkhovna Rada. The law establishes that the leave is granted without division into parts, without conditions regarding the decision to continue or release from military service at the time of its granting. The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, signed a law that guarantees servicemen released from captivity the right to a 90-day vacation with full financial support.

This is reported in a document on the website of the Verkhovna Rada.

The law establishes that the leave is granted without division into parts, without conditions regarding the decision to continue or release from military service at the time of its granting. The document also guarantees the right of servicemen to be released from military service after vacation.

The updated version of Clause 23 of Article 10 of the Law of Ukraine “On Social and Legal Protection of Servicemen and Their Family Members” states:

“After their release from captivity, military servicemen are granted additional leave at their request with the preservation of financial security for a duration of 90 calendar days without division into parts.”

This law emphasizes the importance of supporting military personnel after their return from captivity and providing them with adequate rest and social protection.

Previously, the head of state Volodymyr Zelenskyi put his signature under the law which regulates reburial procedure of servicemen who gave their lives for Ukraine.
