In particular, she noted that yesterday President Volodymyr Zelensky met with the Ukrainian community in Warsaw. At the meeting, the issue of issuing passports of SE Dokument was raised. And in Poland alone, we are talking about more than 80,000 Ukrainian citizens who have been waiting for their documents for a long time.
“The president decided the issue. Passports will be issued. And not only in Poland – everywhere they are “stuck”, said Vereshchuk.
As a reminder, on April 23, 2024, the Cabinet of Ministers banned the issuance of domestic and foreign passports to men aged 18 to 60 during their stay abroad, except for the preparation of documents for returning to Ukraine.
The introduced temporary restrictions on the acceptance of applications for consular services from Ukrainians abroad are related to the need to bring subordinate legal acts into compliance with the requirements of the law on mobilization, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported.
Previously, in the service centers of SE Dokument abroad, there was a sensational demand for re-registration of documents, apparently caused by the new draft law on mobilization.
