President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi met with the laureates Boris Paton National Prize of 2025. He presented them with diplomas and badges of honor. The awards were given to scientists who made a significant contribution to the development of medicine, modernization of weapons, infrastructure protection and other important areas.

The awards were given to scientists who distinguished themselves in the development of medicine, renovation of weapons and military equipment, development of materials for the latest weapons, protection of critical infrastructure, improvement of crime prevention, development of unmanned systems, missiles, ammunition and improvement of military planning – a total of 73 laureates with 10 scientific works.
The President emphasized that Ukraine is proud of the achievements of scientists and needs to implement scientific developments in life. “It’s no secret that each of you really strengthens Ukraine every day with your work. Where it is most needed, and it is needed right now, during the war. Defense capability, the production of our Ukrainian forces, our weapons, our unmanned systems, missiles, ammunition, etc.,” he said.
The head of state stressed that the work of scientists will help Ukraine overcome various challenges and threats. “All this is extremely valuable, all this proves – and it’s no secret either – that our Ukrainian science is alive. No matter how difficult it is for scientists. And science, next to the army, next to diplomacy, is the same effective force in countering Russian evil. And our science is working, growing, which is important during the war, creating, making Ukraine stronger,” Volodymyr Zelenskyi noted.
The winner of the 2025 Nobel Peace Prize has been announced.
As a reminder, the Verkhovna Rada has registered a draft resolution with a proposal to address the Nobel Committee regarding the nomination of US President Donald Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize.
Taiwan President Lai Ching-de also said that US President Donald Trump deserves the Nobel Peace Prize if he succeeds in persuading Chinese leader Xi Jinping to abandon the use of force against Taiwan.
