President Volodymyr Zelenskyy instructed to urgently modernize the system of distribution of drones between units of the Armed Forces. According to him, criticism is coming from the front regarding how drones reach the military. Volodymyr Zelenskyi announced this following the results of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief Headquarters meeting.
During the meeting, the financing of the production of interceptor drones and the system of their supply to the troops were discussed. The President noted that military units directly signal problems with the distribution of drones.
In this regard, he instructed First Deputy Prime Minister Mykhailo Fedorov together with Defense Minister Denys Shmyhal and the command of the Unmanned Systems Forces to change the approach to logistics. “I instructed to modernize the drone distribution system so that more units could be provided with the required number of drones,” Zelenskyy emphasized.
Separately, the head of state drew attention to the issue of airspace protection. He instructed the General Staff and the Ministry of Defense to prepare proposals for changes in the sky defense strategy and submit them to the next meeting of the Headquarters. “It is necessary to present what needs to be done additionally to give more opportunities to our units both in the protection of infrastructure and in the protection of front-line positions,” the president said.
According to Zelenskyi, strengthening the role of drones and a more efficient system of their distribution is one of the key factors in the stability of Ukrainian defense both at the front and in the rear.
Also, Zelensky conducted an assessment regarding the strikes of “Shakhed” and Ukrainian deep strikes.
