President Volodymyr Zelenskyi said that he considers Denys Shmygal and Mykhailo Fedorov as the main candidates for the position of head of the Office of the President. Other potential candidates include Serhiy Kyslytsia, Kyrylo Budanov and Pavlo Palisa.
The head of state informed journalists about this, reports Ukrinform.
Zelensky noted that Denys Shmyhal (Prime Minister) and Mykhailo Fedorov (Deputy Prime Minister) are the main options, but their appointment is connected with a problem.
“As for the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, I held consultations. I think this country has seen it, at least the political environment is following it. I have the options Minister Shmyhal or Minister Fedorov, but there is a challenge here, because the Council must remove them before they are appointed. And here I don’t want it to be like in this game, when you pulled out one detail and everything fell apart,” Zelenskyi said.
According to the President, the applicants also include:
-
Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Serhii Kyslytsia, who “helps a lot in the negotiation track.”
-
Kyrylo Budanov, head of intelligence of the GUR of the Ministry of Defense.
-
Experienced military man, deputy head of the Office of the President Pavlo Palis.
The president dismissed the head of Bankova on November 28.
