President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has stated that Ukraine plans to sell surplus weapons in international markets to obtain additional funding for the production of scarce systems.
He reported this during an evening address after the rate.
Zelensky emphasized that the need for long -range weapons was discussed on the rate, both in the near future and in the long run.
“We plan contracts and plan production so that our arsenals are filled sufficiently,” the President said.
He added that exports of some types of weapons that are in surplus can provide Ukraine with additional finances.
Zelensky reported that there are already agreements on four regions, where Ukraine will prepare agreements on controlled weapons exports:
