President Volodymyr Zelenskyy instructed to increase the funding of corps in key directions. According to him, “there should be more drones”, including all types, and it is necessary to ensure independence in their production.
This was stated by President Volodymyr Zelenskyi during an evening address following the results of a trip to the front.
During the meeting with the commanders, the urgent needs of the front were discussed the most – drones. Zelensky emphasized that the most money goes to drones and components, and this is correct. The key task is to increase the number of drone crews and the supply of the corresponding systems.
The president noted that direct funding for the brigades had a positive result, allowing the units to independently purchase and produce what they need. Units have already submitted proposals for new Army supply contracts that are being developed. The commanders also emphasized the need to improve procedures in the army and unify part of the processes in production and interaction between the Armed Forces and the National Guard.
Meanwhile, Ukraine and Great Britain plan to start joint production of interceptor drones to destroy Iranian “Shaheeds”.
In the near future, the Netherlands will finance a new aid package worth 90 million euros for the production of reconnaissance and attack drones in Ukraine.
