President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has signed two decrees that impose sanctions against foreign sponsors of the Russian war in Ukraine.
The leader of Ukraine reported in his postAnd in Telegram.
The first decree synchronization in Ukraine’s sanctions of partners, including Canada’s sanctions. It is 100 % synchronization of this year’s Canadian sanctions against 139 individuals and legal entities working for the Russian war.
“Together with our partners, we also prepare a decision to synchronize Ukrainian sanctions in partners’ jurisdictions. Everyone who helps Russia continue killing and build a military machine for further aggression should feel the real pressure of the world, ”Zelensky said.
The second decree is sanctions against 28 citizens of different countries that equally help the Russians to retain the occupation regime on our land and in fact sponsor the Russian state.
According to the President, on each name of such persons we also work with law enforcement agencies of partner countries.
It should be reminded that three years after the EU sanctions are introduced, the Russian state media continued to work online and collect a significant audience in EU countries.
Since 2022, the energy of Russia has been significantly affected by the sanctions of the West – Moscow’s income decreased, and the share of Russian gas in the import of EU collapsed from 45% to 18%, oil – from 30% to 3%.
European leaders may impose additional sanctions against the Russian Federation if Putin’s dictator refuses to participate in a tripartite meeting with the leaders of Ukraine and the US.
