On the occasion of the 33rd anniversary of the establishment of the Security Service of Ukraine, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with SBU staff, noted them with state awards and awarded higher officers.

“During this war, the SBU became a truly combat special service, very effective, very strong. It is exactly what our country needs. The SBU soldiers are involved in all areas of defense – from Kursk and Kharkiv to all the hottest points of the front in Donetsk and in the south of our country, ”he said.
The President noted the results of the SBU and other bodies of security and defense forces of Ukraine in the Battle of the Black Sea. Ukrainian sea drones forced Russian warships to hide in Novorossiysk bays, as well as destroyed and flooded a large part of the Russian fleet. Due to this result, the Russian Federation has moved from ultimatums to the need to negotiate on the Black Sea.
In addition, the head of state emphasized the combat results of the SBU on the Russian oil refining industry.
“I would also like to point out the efforts of the Security Service of Ukraine in the protection of the internal situation in our country – it is the counteraction to Russian sabotage, agent networks, various operations, including Russia’s Cyber Operations against Ukraine in the rear. Every such disrupted operation is the life of Ukrainians saved. Thank you! ” – added Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
The President presented the Order of Merit for Merit and III degrees, Bohdan Khmelnytsky II and III degrees, “For Courage” of the II and III degrees and Princess Olga III degrees.
Recall that the SBU prevented the terrorist attack, delaying in Kryvyi Rih of the Russian agent. He was custom -made for the FSB near the local shopping center and had to die himself.
The Security Service of Ukraine qualified an explosion on March 23 in the police building in Bilyaivka, Odessa region as a terrorist attack. The explosion came at about 6:00 pm after a woman with a package entered the police department, which, according to preliminary data, could be an explosive. In particular, it is known that the woman died immediately.
