President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky appealed to the Marines on the occasion of their professional holiday – Marines Day.
He stressed that Ukrainian marines always demonstrate “strength, endurance and professionalism”, achieving important results at the front and changing the course of battle in favor of Ukraine.
Zelensky thanked every unit for the protection of the state from Russian invaders and honored the memory of all who gave their lives for the sake of freedom of the country.
The head of state noted that Marines are effective in the most complex areas of the front – from the southern regions to the Donetsk region and even in combat operations in Kurshchyna.

Marines Day in Ukraine is celebrated on May 23. This holiday was launched in 2014, and the current date was set by the Presidential Decree in 2018.
It was on this day that the basis of modern Ukrainian Marines, which inherited the best combat traditions of previous generations and now heroically opposed the Russian invaders.
We will remind, during the last day, on May 22, 141 fighting forces of defense forces of Ukraine with the army of the Russian Federation were recorded on the front.
We have already reported that in the last day from May 22 to May 23, the Russian army lost 1050 soldiers and 187 units of military equipment at the front.
