President Volodymyr Zelenskyy approved his decree by the composition of the Ukrainian delegation for negotiations with the Russian Federation in Istanbul on June 2.
Like the previous time, a delegation He heads Minister of Defense Rustem Umerov. But this time the head of the department of international and operational law of the central legal department of the General Staff of the Armed Forces Alexei Malovatsky will not go to Istanbul.
However, there will be two new members in the delegation:
- Yuri Kovbasa – Representative of the Commissioner of the Verkhovna Rada of Human Rights in the System of Sector of Security and Defense (with consent),
- Yevgeny Ostryansky – Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces.
Before that President Volodymyr Zelenskyy confirmed that the Ukrainian delegation will come to a meeting with Istanbul. It will be headed by the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Rustem Umerov.
Earlier, Zelensky reported that as of May 31, there was no clear information with what Russians gather to go to peace talks to Istanbul. They have not transferred their proposals to Ukraine.
Recall that Washington can do Pressure on Ukraine to agree to participate in negotiations with Russia on June 2, even without receiving from Moscow a preliminary Memorandum with its conditions for the termination of the war.
