Russia can be forced to complete ceasefire without additional conditions. But this requires pressure from the US.
This was stated by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, the press service of the Presidential Office of Ukraine reports.
“Ukraine has demonstrated – and all of it emphasize – readiness for a complete and unconditional ceasefire. We do not set any conditions, and the Russians have no right to set any conditions, ”the head of state emphasized at a meeting with representatives of business of Dnipropetrovsk region.
He noted that Ukraine opposes the withdrawal of sanctions from the Russian Federation to cease fire. And this position is supported by EU countries.
According to Zelensky, the Russian Federation “evades the truce” because it wants to achieve some success at the front. This is evidenced by the enemy’s plans to draw an offensive in Sumy, Kharkiv and Zaporizhzhya. It was not possible to realize their intentions of the enemy.
“I think that increased pressure and dialogue of Americans with them will still lead to a ceasefire,” the President said.
Earlier, Zelensky stated that Putin rejected the proposal of a complete ceasefire, and this shows that the Russian Federation should continue to press for the sake of peace.
We will remind, on March 18, telephone talks between Putin and Trump took place, during which the Russian Federation disagreed on a truce. The Kremlin stated that Putin demanded that Trump stop supplying weapons and mobilization in Ukraine to establish a ceasefire.
