During the summit of the leaders of the European Union in Brussels, the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy appealed to the member states with a request to find a political solution that would allow the opening of negotiation clusters on Ukraine’s future membership.
He emphasized that further delay in this process is unfair both for the Ukrainian people and for the whole of Europe.
According to the president, “Ukraine has taken all the necessary steps to start the negotiations on time,” so now the ball is in the EU’s court.
Zelensky emphasized that the current blockade of the negotiation process is purely artificial and is not related to the real state of reforms in the state.
He reminded that the Ukrainian government has implemented all the key recommendations of the European Commission, which were a condition for moving to the next stage of integration.

The head of state also emphasized that the expansion of the European Union is not only a political or economic gesture, but a matter of geopolitical security. In his opinion, the accession of Ukraine will strengthen stability in the region and become part of the common defense system of the continent.
Zelensky emphasized that the moment has come when the EU must confirm its promises: “Ukraine is keeping its obligations – it’s time for Europe to do the same.”
It will be recalled that Zelensky offered to change the queue for Patriot deliveries.
Zelenskyi also hinted at the possibility of receiving a Tomahawk from the United States.
