By Decree No. 1003/2025, the title of Hero of Ukraine with the awarding of the “Golden Star” order was awarded to Lieutenant Colonel Oleksandr Drozdetskyi (posthumously).
In accordance with Decree No. 1004/2025, the title of Hero of Ukraine with the awarding of the “Golden Star” order was awarded to chief sergeant Oleksiy Simonenko (posthumously).
In addition, the President, by Decree No. 1005/2025, posthumously conferred the title of Hero of Ukraine with the awarding of the “Golden Star” order to soldier Vladyslav Stepanenko.
According to Decree No. 1006/2025, the title of Hero of Ukraine with the awarding of the “Golden Star” order was awarded to junior sergeant Andriy Palyonom (posthumously).
In accordance with Decree No. 1007/2025, the title of Hero of Ukraine with the awarding of the “Golden Star” order was awarded to Senior Sergeant Myron Chernovol.
Also, the President, by decree No. 1008/2025, conferred the title of Hero of Ukraine with the award of the “Golden Star” order to Colonel Gennady Kutsom.
By Decree No. 1009/2025, the title of Hero of Ukraine with the awarding of the “Golden Star” order was awarded to Colonel Maksym Yarosh.
The President also awarded state awards to 289 defenders of Ukraine, 38 of them posthumously.
The corresponding decree No. 1002/2025 of December 26 was published on the website of the head of state.
According to the document, the defenders were awarded for personal courage shown in the defense of state sovereignty, territorial integrity of Ukraine and selfless performance of military duty.
Military servicemen received the President’s award “Cross of Combat Merit”, orders of Bohdan Khmelnytskyi, “For Courage”, Danylo Halytskyi, as well as medals “For Military Service to Ukraine”, “Defender of the Fatherland” and “For Saved Life”.
In addition, Zelensky awarded state awards to 289 defenders of Ukraine, of which 38 received awards for personal courage shown during hostilities. Servicemen received various awards, such as the Order of Courage and the Cross of Combat Merit, which emphasizes their contribution to ensuring the security of the state. These awards became an important step in recognizing the heroism of the Ukrainian military during the ongoing armed conflicts.
