The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy is confident that Ukraine will be able to establish cooperation with the team of the newly elected US President Donald Trump.
He stated this during a joint briefing with Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen in Kyiv, RFE/RL reports.
Zelensky also confirmed the upcoming visit to the USA by the head of the Office of the President, Andriy Yermak.
“I had contacts with President Trump. I understand only direct contacts between presidents. As for the team, they have their own contacts. As for setting up processes between our teams, I’m sure they will. As for the trip, the trip of my head of office to the United States – it will happen,” the President of Ukraine noted.
Earlier, Zelensky noted that contradictory statements by representatives of Trump’s entourage can be made for different purposes: to assess the reaction of societies, to draw attention to himself, or even to demonstrate his position.
