Earlier President Volodymyr Zelenskyy appointed Rustem Umerov Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine and dismissed Oleksandr Litvinenko from this position.
This appointment is part of the general permutations in the governing bodies of the state. Thus, the Verkhovna Rada approved the new Prime Minister Yulia Sviridenko, as well as a change in the government, where the new ministers were Denis Shmigal (Ministry of Defense) and Andriy Sibiga (Ministry of Foreign Affairs).
