On Tuesday, October 21, the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a meeting with the Secretary of the National Security Council Rustem Umyerov.
During the meeting, new defense arrangements were discussed to strengthen Ukrainian combat aviation and create a strong Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Zelenskyi emphasized the importance of coordination of all state institutions and defense units involved in the preparation and implementation of agreements.
The president also noted that meetings with European leaders will be held this week to clarify Ukraine’s needs in air defense, defense assistance, energy restoration and strengthening of sanctions against the Russian Federation.
The agenda of future meetings of the Stavka and the needs of the Ukrainian defense industry were discussed separately. The transformation of the NSDC apparatus is planned for more effective support of the front. Zelenskyy emphasized that by the end of the year, the level of providing the Ukrainian army with its own weapons should reach at least 50%.
