President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky held a meeting on sanction policy, during which they discussed the preparation of new restrictions on Russia and their coordination with international partners.
According to the President, the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of the NSDC Rustem Umerov and the sanctional policy commissioner, Vladislav Vlasyuk, reported the next steps and synchronization of sanctions.
Only in September did Ukraine approve five sanction packages – against persons who support the Russian MIC, the so -called “shadow fleet”, energy sector, propagandists, pro -Russian figures from Moldova, collaborators in the Crimea, and synchronize British sanctions in their own jurisdiction. In total, 166 individuals and 127 companies were restricted.
Zelensky recalled that this month, the US, United Kingdom, Canada, Japan, Australia and New Zealand have taken important sanction steps. The President emphasized the need for the early adoption of the 19th EU sanctions and increased pressure from the United States.
“It is important that the pressure is truly effective. We expect promptness from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and other state institutions accompanied by this work, ”Zelensky emphasized.
Recall that the United States of America has fifth and last postponed sanctions against the Serbian oil and gas company NIS.
Serbia will also sign a new gas import contract from the Russian Federation despite EU policy.
