According to the head of state, the oligarchic groups tried to control the voting in the parliament, but the monomajority held out.
The President emphasized that the struggle for the subjectivity of the parliament has been going on for more than five years and today it has entered the field of confrontation with foreign groups of influence. The desire to destroy the “Servant of the People” arose among financial and political groups immediately after the elections.
“First of all, it has always been a great desire of various financial or political groups to destroy the monomajority. Initially, this was done by financial groups, including the Kolomoisky group. Everyone wanted to influence the monomajority, the “Servant of the People”, vote the laws that someone needed. They wanted to dismantle it, they came up with various proposals, but the monomajority preserved it, and some did not preserve their freedom,” Zelenskyi said.
He added that during the full-scale invasion, many influential people left Ukraine, but did not stop trying to interfere in the work of the Council. “Those wishing to stay in Ukrainian politics from abroad have become significantly fewer, and those who try to shake up the situation remotely are not successful,” the president noted.
“I know many deputies who already want to end their mandate. But there is war, there are challenges of war and there is law. So for now, everyone needs to work, no matter how difficult it may be,” Zelensky emphasized.
It will be recalled that businessman Ihor Kolomoisky previously commented on the searches of the leader of “Batkivshchyna” Yulia Tymoshenko, calling them a “pathetic travesty.” He was indignant about the sum of 40,000 dollars, noting that Tymoshenko could have earned much more, and emphasized that the suspicion seemed unfounded.
