In Ukraine, the “Winter Support” program was launched, under which every citizen can receive 1,000 hryvnias for basic needs.
The initiative was officially announced on November 15, and applications can be submitted until December 24, 2025 inclusive.
The payment is promised to be transferred within ten days after the successful completion of the application.
According to the authorities, more than a million Ukrainians have already taken advantage of the opportunity to receive this assistance.
Both adults and children have the right to the “winter thousand” – for each child, a separate application is submitted by one of the parents or a legal representative. Guardians of incapacitated persons can also issue a payment if they have documents confirming their authority.
At the same time, funds are not credited to those who are abroad or live in temporarily occupied territories. The program is aimed specifically at those who actually live in the regions controlled by Ukraine.
The application can be submitted in two ways – through the “Diya” application or at the “Ukrposhta” branch. The online option is expected to become the main one, because last year most of the appeals went through Diya.
Acceptance of electronic and paper applications started on November 15, 2025 and will continue until December 24, so there is enough time for processing. The main thing is to carefully fulfill all the requirements so as not to be rejected due to formal errors.
To apply in “Actions”, you need to update the application to the latest version and go to the “Services” → “Winter support” section. Next, you should fill in the necessary data and select the “National Cashback” card, to which the funds will be credited.
If such a card is already open, the system will automatically offer it. If not, you must first issue a card in one of the partner banks, and then link it to the application as an account for payment.
As a reminder, the “Winter Support” program has been officially introduced in Ukraine, which provides for the payment of a one-time financial aid in the amount of 1,000 hryvnias.
