On November 18, the Lviv Region was covered with snow, and the border guards of the 7th Carpathian Border Detachment showed footage of real winter from the Ukrainian-Polish border.
The detachment published a photo of winter in the Carpathians on Facebook.
Despite difficult weather conditions — cold, fog, and snow — border guards continue to serve around the clock, ensuring control and security of the border, as well as promptly responding to all threats. In their work, they use modern technologies, video surveillance systems and digital services.
The released photos show the areas of responsibility of the “Smilnytsia” and “Shadows” departments, where the temperature has dropped significantly, and thick fogs cover the area from time to time. Border guards urge tourists to be as careful as possible, not to deviate from officially marked routes and not to violate the rules of staying at the border.
The second half of November in Ukraine begins with changeable weather and atmospheric pressure fluctuations. Today, November 18, an atmospheric front is passing from the west, due to which the temperature is expected to drop in most regions.
In Ukraine, there will be a sharp cooling down to “minus” and wet snow, which will become a “rehearsal of winter”. Temperatures will begin to drop sharply from Tuesday, November 18 and peak on Wednesday. The cold weather will only last for two days, after which it will warm up again, but another drop in temperature is expected over the weekend.
We will remind you about the weather in Kyiv beat temperature record.
