The average temperature will range from -4°C to +4°C across the country, and severe frosts below -10°C are possible only at the end of the month. Precipitation is mainly in the form of snow or sleet with rain, but without extreme snowfall.
Northern regions will face moderate frosts: during the day up to -2°C, at night – up to -7°C, with precipitation of about 36 mm. The snow cover will be stable, but without storms. Drivers are advised to prepare for icy roads.
In the center of Ukraine, January will be the coldest — nights down to -9°C, days — up to -3°C, precipitation will reach 43 mm. Fog and ice are possible, which will make movement difficult. Atmospheric pressure will remain stable, without sharp changes.
Western regions, in particular the Carpathians, will have milder weather: during the day around 0°C, at night -7°C, precipitation 33 mm. Snowfall will intensify in the mountains, attracting skiers. The tourist season will continue without interruption.
The east of the country expects a harsher winter: nights -9°C, days -3°C, 40 mm of precipitation with snow storms and wind. The risk of blizzards is high, so farmers should protect their crops. The power system will withstand the load.
The south will be the warmest: during the day up to +2°C, at night -4°C, only 27 mm of precipitation, more frequent rains. Coastal areas will avoid snow while maintaining comfort. Sea resorts will operate as usual.
