However, we are not talking about new weapons packages, because they were still not foreseen for 2025, and the money was not allocated for them. Moreover, all the rhetoric not only Trump, long before the meeting with Zelensky on February 28, but also its entire administration and most of the Republicans, directly said that there would be no assistance to Ukraine with US weapons.
Now it is threatened with what was planned during Joe Biden’s time. At least such a possible threat is already written by Western media with a reliance on their own sources. At the same time, indicating that the question is that the Baiden administration provided before the completion of her cadence.
Obviously, it is the same, unfortunately, a conditional “avalanche of weapons”, which in early December was promised in the White House.
Then $ 2.2 billion in the USAI program remained in Ukraine’s assistance, when weapons are ordered from manufacturers, as well as $ 3.3 billion in budget money in 2024 for the PDA program, when weapons are transferred from the Pentagon reserves.
With regard to PDA, they could not allocate all the money in Joe Baiden. On January 9, the latest US $ 500 million assistance was announced and $ 1.05 billion was not spent. At the same time, another $ 2.8 billion returned after the accounting error was found in the summer of 2023, which was forgotten in Washington for a long time. At the same time, all the money for USAI was spent by the end of 2024, when the last package was allocated for this program on December 30.
That is, in the last two months, Ukraine has been to receive weapons from the Pentagon reserves under the PDA program on, approximately $ 2.3 billion. And the packages themselves had a variety of ammunition: artillery and rocket systems, air defense, anti -tank weapons and more. And it is possible that not all the help that was highlighted on paper has already been transferred.
But it is more threatening to stop the supply of USAI weapons. In particular, the total content of all USAI packages, which is about $ 30 billion from $ 65.9 billion in total assistance since 2022. At the same time, their implementation was calculated by 2026 and possibly by 2027. But what share of USAI contracts has already been fulfilled is unknown.
And despite the idea that they are only about weapons, much of them is also about ammunition. In particular, about $ 10 billion went to artillery, missile, anti -aircraft and other ammunition. Moreover, from August 2024 to December 30, about $ 4 billion was allocated for these purposes, which means that their supply is exactly about 2025-2026.
Earlier it was reported that the US may restrict Ukraine access to Starlink, demanding control over strategic mineral resources. Kyiv refuses to concede. However, the owner of the company Ilon Musk refutes it.
