Servicemen are entitled to a number of vacations that take into account the specifics of the service, family circumstances, participation in hostilities or work at high risk. The legislation clearly regulates the procedure, duration and conditions for granting such leave.
This is reminiscent of NV.
Servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are granted various types of vacations, including basic leave, additional leave for service at high risk to life, family leave and others.
Types of vacations:
- Basic leave It is provided to all servicemen and women in years of service and ranges from 30 to 45 days depending on the years of service and special conditions of service.
- Extra leave It can be provided for special service conditions, such as participation in hostilities, service in areas with high radiation background, etc.
- Family leave It is provided in the event of a serious illness or death of close relatives, the birth of a child and in other special cases.
Types of vacations of military personnel 2025
The procedure for granting vacations for servicemen is spelled out in the Law of Ukraine No. 1014-V
Servicemen are provided with annual basic leave with the preservation of cash, financial support and providing financial assistance for rehabilitation at the amount of monthly cash. The duration of the annual basic leave for servicemen who have a calendar calculation of up to 10 years is 30 calendar days; from 10 to 15 years – 35 calendar days; from 15 to 20 years – 40 calendar days; More than 20 calendar years – 45 calendar days. Time to travel to the venue of the specified leave and back is not provided. The holidays and non -working days in determining the duration of annual major holidays are not taken into account.
Annual basic leave is granted during the calendar year. In special cases, with the permission of the direct chief, the Ombudsman, the heads of central executive bodies, who, in accordance with the law, carry out the military formations formed in accordance with the laws of Ukraine, heads of law enforcement agencies and heads of intelligence agencies of Ukraine, the annual basic leave was not granted in the past year.
Servicemen who are admitted to military service under the contract, the duration of the annual basic leave in the year of the beginning of military service is calculated at the rate of 1/12 of the duration of leave, to which they are entitled in accordance with paragraph 1 of this Article, for each full month of service until the end of the calendar year. At the same time, servicemen who are entitled to leave 10 calendar days or more, pay the fare to the place of leave and back within the order established by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine. A vacation lasting less than 10 calendar days at the request of a serviceman can be granted to him simultaneously with the annual basic leave next year. In the same order, annual basic leave and servicemen who were on leave of child care before she reached the age of three are granted.
At the request of servicemen, in addition to cadets (students) of higher military educational institutions, as well as higher education institutions, which have military institutes, faculties of military training, the departments of military training, annual basic leave can be granted to them in parts, not more than two.
Servicemen whose performance of military service duties is associated with increased nervous-emotional and intellectual load or is carried out in special natural geographical, geological, climatic and environmental conditions and conditions of increased risk to life and health, except for conscripts, annual supplement. The duration of such annual additional leave is determined depending on the time of service in these conditions and may not exceed 15 calendar days.
The list of areas with special natural geographical, geological, climatic, environmental conditions, military positions, the performance of military service duties is associated with increased neuro-emotional and intellectual load, risk to life and health, as well as the procedure for granting and duration of annual additional leave.
Servicemen who are at the same time entitled to receive the annual additional leave provided for the first paragraph of this paragraph and other laws, the annual additional leave with the preservation of monetary and financial support is granted on one of the grounds for the choice of the serviceman.
Servicemen who have become ill during the annual basic or annual additional leave, the specified leave continues after recovery on the number of unused days of this leave.
Cadets (students) of higher military educational institutions, as well as higher education institutions, which have military institutes, faculties of military training, departments of military training, are granted vacations each year: winter – up to 14 calendar days and summer – 30 calendar days. The duration of such vacations is independent of years of service.
In the case of educational debt in cadets of higher military educational institutions, as well as higher educational establishments, which have military institutes, faculties of military training, department of military training, holiday leave are granted to them after the liquidation of the debt within the limits of the schedule. In this case, the duration of summer vacation may not be less than 15 calendar days.
Cadets (students) of higher military educational institutions, as well as higher education institutions with military institutes, faculties of military training, departments of military training, in addition to vacationing vacations referred to in the first paragraph of this item Ncts 9–11 of this article.
Servicemen who are on a long -term business trip outside Ukraine, in addition to conscripts, are allowed to unite annual basic leave for two years at their request. In this case, the total duration of the joined leave may not exceed 90 calendar days.
For servicemen, in addition to conscripts, additional leave in connection with training, creative leave and social leave are granted in accordance with the Law of Ukraine on leave. Other additional leave shall be granted to them on the grounds and in the manner determined by the relevant laws of Ukraine.
