On February 4, the Orthodox Church honors the memory of Saint Isidore Pylusiotsky, who lived in the IV-V centuries. He was an outstanding theologian, a disciple of St. John Chrysostom and abbot of a monastery near the city of Pylusia in Egypt.
Saint Isidore left behind a colossal legacy – more than 2,000 letters in which he gave advice on spiritual life, interpreted the Holy Scriptures and exposed the vices of society at that time.
