On Sunday, December 28, most regions of Ukraine will be under the influence of atmospheric fronts of the eastern cyclone, which will bring snow, sleet and stormy wind gusts of up to 15-20 meters per second.
According to forecaster Natalka Didenko, the daytime air temperature will range from -2 to +3 degrees, but the nighttime temperature drop will lead to the formation of ice on the roads. Snowfall is also expected in the capital against the backdrop of a strong northwesterly wind and a temperature of around zero degrees.
The change in weather conditions is the beginning of a transition period before a significant cooling, which will begin as early as December 30. By the New Year, frost is expected to intensify throughout the country, although another wave of thaw is possible after the holidays. At present, the wet nature of the weather with periodic precipitation is facilitated by the activity of the cyclone, which forces drivers and pedestrians to be extremely careful due to the combination of precipitation and strong winds.
