Erdogan’s “peace plan” for Ukraine – what is known
On November 18, the Bloomberg agency reported that the President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, intends to present his “peace plan”.
The Turkish leader’s proposal envisages freezing hostilities in the current positions of the parties.
In addition, according to the sources, Erdogan also proposes to postpone the discussion of Ukraine’s accession to NATO for at least 10 years – as a concession to the Kremlin dictator.
The “plan” also refers to the creation of a demilitarized zone in Donbas and the involvement of international forces to ensure security.
Turkey believes that, first of all, it is necessary to focus on the cessation of hostilities, and the issue of the occupied territories should be postponed for the future.
On the same day, the Kremlin rejected the option ““freezes” of the war.
