After a wave of protests through the adoption of the law that limits the independence of NABU and the SAP, President Zelensky held a meeting with the heads of major law enforcement and anti -corruption bodies.

The Head of State emphasized: “We all hear what society says” and declared the preparation of a new common plan to strengthen justice in Ukraine.

The meeting was very necessary, frank and useful – we all have a common enemy – Russian invaders. State protection requires a strong law enforcement and anti -corruption system, where criminal proceedings should not be drawn for years, and those who have been operating against Ukraine should feel the inevitability of punishment

Zelensky emphasized

The meeting was attended by the heads of the SBU, NABU, SAP, NAPC, DBR, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Prosecutor General. The President thanked them “for their willingness to work as a team for the interests of Ukraine.”

Recall Brussels concerned with pressure on NABU and SAP.

The Council also adopted a law that actually subordinates the NABU and SAP of the Attorney General’s office.
