The Supreme Anti -Corruption Court granted the petition of Alexander Formagy and Dmitry Kovalenko and released them from responsibility in the Rotterdam+case, referring to the limitation period.
Former members of the National Energy Regional Commission were charged with official negligence, which caused grave consequences.
Since the limitation period for the crime is 5 years, and the events took place in 2018–2019, the court closed the proceedings against them, and it left civil claims without consideration.
In total, there are still 9 accused in the case, including former DTEK and NERCEP’s tops, who are accused of illegally using the Rotterdam+formula for coal at Ukrainian TPPs, which caused more than UAH 38 billion in losses.
