The National Police of Ukraine reported the suspicion of the commander of Russian paratroopers involved in the shootings of civilians in Buch at the intersection of Vokzalnaya and Yablunska Streets between March 5 and 9, 2022.
According to the investigation, women, men and children aged 14 to 69 were killed as a result of the actions of the 234th Airborne Assault Regiment from Pskov. The victims died while trying to get to work, evacuate, find food or reach relatives.
The commander ordered to fire on everyone who came into sight, personally supervised the execution of the order, organized the arrangement of firing positions and managed the duty of the troops.
The investigation gathered evidence confirming his involvement in war crimes, including ordering the shooting of civilians. He is accused of violating the laws and customs of war, combined with intentional murder, for which life imprisonment is provided.
Earlier, it was identified and reported that a serviceman of the Russian Armed Forces was suspected of violating the laws and customs of war. He tortured a resident of Velika Dymerka during the occupation.
