The border guards of the Chop detachment detained a foreigner who illegally crossed the state border of Ukraine through the railway checkpoint “Chop (Friendship)”.

The man arrived from Hungary to a bicycle when he was stopped by Ukrainian border guards. The offender did not have any passport documents and called himself a citizen of Senegal.
The detainee shows a card of international protection issued by Slovenia. As it turned out, a man lived in Slovenia since 2021, but did not fulfill the necessary conditions for legalization of his stay.
Because of this, he decided to leave the country and move to Ukraine, hoping to find better living conditions here.
Planning the escape, the foreigner reached Hungary, where with the help of a mobile application he paved the route to the Ukrainian border. To realize his plan, he stole a bicycle and went to the checkpoint.
However, his attempt to cross the border ended with a detention.
Administrative documents under Art. 204-1 of the Code of Administrative Offenses “Illegal Crossing or attempting to illegally cross the state border of Ukraine”.
Upon completion of all the necessary procedures, the man was returned to Hungary as part of a readmission agreement.
We will remind, in Odesa region a law enforcement officer will stand before the court, who is accused of organizing the illegal crossing of men of conscription age across the state border.
We also reported that in Transcarpathia a group of people who organized an illegal crossing of 13 men across the border to Hungary using a sand truck were exposed in Transcarpathia.
