The higher anti-corruption court has scheduled a meeting on January 10 to select a preventive measure for the acting head of the State Customs Service.
Ukrinform was informed about this by the press service of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office.
“The meeting is scheduled for January 10, at 1:45 p.m.,” the press service said.
As reported, the law enforcement officer exposed the acting head of the State Customs Service for intentionally entering in the declaration notoriously unreliable information about real estate with a total value of more than 100,000 dollars.
The investigation established that in the declarations for 2021-2023, the official did not indicate information about the residential building with an area of 236.8 square meters. m, as well as about the land plot near Kyiv on which this house is located. The specified real estate was registered to a close relative of the wife, but in fact its owner and administrator was the official and his family.
The actions of the person involved are qualified according to the characteristics of the crime provided for in part. 1 Art. 366-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – intentional entry by the subject of the declaration of knowingly false information into the declaration of a person authorized to perform the functions of the state or local self-government, provided for by the Law of Ukraine “On Prevention of Corruption”.
Earlier, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau referred to the court the case of People’s Deputy Yury Kamelchuk, who did not indicate the apartment on Pechersk and the loan in the declaration.
